GREEN AIR

As well as improving our well-being, trees play an important role in dispersing and removing pollutants such as carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and particulate matter (PM) from the atmosphere. This has benefits both locally and globally.

From the Amazon rainforests to Europe’s ancient woodlands, trees help slow the march of climate change by taking CO2 for photosynthesis. Globally, forests may absorb and store as much as 30% of the carbon emissions from human activities; burning or clearing releases the stored carbon back into the atmosphere.

At AIR Seating, we are on a journey to be the best we can be for the world around us. Our aim to reduce our impact on the environment began from day one with our first objective to source our materials and componentry from UK suppliers wherever possible, allowing us a low carbon footprint to begin with.

Continuing to improve and grow we achieved BS EN ISO14001 in 2010. This milestone underscored our continuous efforts to reduce our ecological impact locally and globally. 2023 was another giant step forward with our FSC® certification. The Forest Stewardship Council® is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Since its foundation in 1994, FSC has grown to become the world’s most respected and widespread forest certification system.
